“Because I Can”
That is one of the husband’s favorite phrases. I consider it his favorite because I often hear him utter the phrase. Like when I asked him why he did that or this? That would be his reply to me. But it is not on the negative side. He says the phrase whenever he feels like teasing me. The phrase comes with a mischievous grin, you know. A grin that would make me amused instead of irritated.
I haven’t heard him utter the phrase for a couple of days now though and I kind of missed it. LOL. Maybe I will tease him when he gets home from work and let him say the words. What do you think? Teehee.
Like Your Bike? Then Carry it Proudly!
Seeing bike racks on top of cars is something new to me. Back in my home country, it is not something that you would commonly see. More often than not, you would only see bikes carried in the back of a pick-up truck.
I started seeing bike racks when spring started. I don’t know though if those were thule bike racks, the ones that I’ve seen online, but basically, they all look the same from afar. They probably all do look the same, but they do differ in quality. They are really cool, aren’t they?
Which Way is Which?
I’ve only been here in the U.S. for seven months now, and though I’ve traveled, toured and circled around the city numerous times, I still get mixed up about where each road is heading, and so on and so forth. I must admit, my geography is really poor.
But thanks goodness for the latest innovation. I can get a GPS and problem solved. The husband will get me the best trucker gps as soon as I get my license and I really can’t wait. It will be my buddy for my road trips from then on.
All Sweaty
It’s been such a hot and humid day today. The kids were out enjoying the pool, but I am just inside the house enjoying the coolness of the A/C. Had it been that the pool is big enough to carry adults, I would have dipped too. Whew!
The husband arrived all sweaty. He didn’t turn the car’s A/C on his way home so you can just imagine how sweaty every part of his body was. I even teased him that I will not give him a kiss because he’s wet. Teehee. But I did. I don’t really mind because even if he is sweaty, he doesn’t smell at all. So, no problem.
The room is so cool now and it makes me feel so good. Wheee!!!
My Man’s Not My Only Accessory
One of the many things that I immensely enjoy doing is accessorizing myself. I feel like my get-up is not complete without some special accessory; I feel naked at least one elegant bauble. But to me, they go in a group. I can’t just wear a pair of earrings without a watch, rings and bracelets. I can go without a necklace though, but not the other things that I’ve just mentioned.
I’ve purchased recently an over-sized ring and some shamballa bracelets. They are really awesome. I wonder when my next shopping for accessories will be. Hmmm…
Freewheeling Fun
It’s the Fourth of July weekend and though many are going somewhere for a vacation, we will just stay at home the entire weekend. We are going to watch the fireworks display though and perhaps watch a movie.
But for today, it will be spent cleaning the yard and other necessary chores. The husband is actually riding on his riding mower now and mowing the yard. Looking at him from afar makes me think of an ATV because the riding mower kind of looks like one. That is only from afar though. If you will look closer, the mower’s parts are definitely different from ATV Parts. But you know what? I would love to have an ATV someday. I’m sure it will be a blast to ride it.
Yuck vs. Yak
One trait that I like about my husband the most is his happy personality which a lot of people we met have liked too. We always kid around and I always tease him because I always find his reaction funny.
Whenever he kisses my hand, I would say “Yuck!” It’s not yucky at all. I just say it for the fun of it. He likes listening to how I say it thus, he teases me always. Another thing, I can yak whenever I want to, either seriously or just for fun which led him to call me a “Yakketeer!” There’s no such word, we know that. It’s a word that is only present in our dictionary. LOL.
And a couple of nights ago, because of those happenings, he came up with the title above. And we both laughed after that. Ahhh, isn’t it nice to laugh all the time especially with your loved one? (“,)
