Avoid the Money Pit
I’ve always been wise when it comes to my spending. I make it a point not to spend more than I can afford because the last thing that I want to be doing is seeking a debt advice service. Being in debt is definitely not in my vocab.
Modesty aside, I don’t owe anyone or anybody at the moment and I certainly don’t have plans of doing so. I am happy with the way things are going in my life now – so peaceful and worry-free.
Rump-a-Pum-Pum, He Wants to Drum
We were at the mall today and while my husband and I was busy browsing the window treatments, the little one was busy looking at the musical instruments display that was located adjacent to the window treatments section.
He was vocal about liking the junior drum set specifically and actually told us that he wanted one for his birthday. But my husband kidded that there will be no drums inside the house because my son’s voice is already enough noise to keep the house in chaos. LOL. My son loves music like me. Maybe we’ll get him into music classes first before we’ll buy him any instrument so he can make a knowledgeable choice.
He’s the Boss
Yes, he is. At work, that is. Maybe here at home too, whenever I feel like. LOL. Just kidding.
Seriously, he is the boss at work now because his boss is on a business trip to Germany. He left Saturday last week and will be back on Wednesday yet. So, my husband has always been coming home late this week. It had been kind of an exhausting week for him. But he’s always ready to rumble and always good to go whatever work has in for him. That’s how tough my man is. Need I say more?
I Know He’ll Surprise Me, As Always
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. So have you checked at redenvelopes boyfriend gifts yet? For your boyfriend, that is, but they can also be given to the husbands.
I’m done shopping for the husband’s gifts and I am just awaiting the moment when he opens them and see the look on his face light up. I do wonder what he’s got for me. Knowing him, he won’t let it pass without getting me something. I’m excited!!!
He’s an Organizer
The previous days have been busy for us – sorting and preparing the needed documents for our upcoming trip. My husband was busy sorting the documents on our steel cabinet last night including the papers we need as well the other documents that he has that has nothing to do with our trip.
He was looking for documents when he came across his mom’s nursing home papers. That made him nostalgic once again and whenever that happens, there is always this sad look on his face. He misses his mom I know, but at least he did everything he could to make his mom’s last days here on earth good. She was in a nursing home where she was taken good care of. He wanted to take good care of his mom but he simply couldn’t because of work. We are just thankful for this home and others, like Assisted living Houston because they are always there to lend a helping hand.
Anyway, my husband was sad for a moment, but after seeing the papers that he needed to sort, his mind got busy again and he moved on to the job at hand. Good boy, Honey Hubby…(“,)
A Sweet Note
I was really surprised to see this note on the coffee maker last Monday. What a sweet gesture from my loving husband. It really made my day.
We normally get up at the same time on weekdays since he takes our son, Yogi to school. But it was a holiday because it was Martin Luther King, Jr. day so I was still in bed when he left for work at 6 o’clock in the morning. I did wake up when he kissed me goodbye, but I didn’t get out of bed until 7:30.
I posted it on Facebook after taking the photo using my cellphone. I can’t help myself but share with everybody how sweet my husband is and they all totally agreed. (“,)
He’s Getting Older, Which Means I am Too!
It’s still January, but I am already planning for my son’s 9th birthday in March. I still don’t know where we are going to have his party, but I am already contemplating on a venue and whom to invite. This year, we will include some of his classmates on the list – his close friends to be exact. I’ve been hearing a lot about them and I really want to meet them.
I am also thinking of what to give him as gifts. He’s got a long list which includes a nintendo dsi, an xbox 360, a list of books, video games for his PS2, etc., The list continues on and on and because it is so long, I can’t remember them all. LOL. I can’t give it all to him so I just have to choose. I still have time to decide but, if I win the lottery, no doubt I’ll give it all to him and there will be no more thinking for me to do then.
