A Manic Monday

Well, yes, kinda sorta…for the husband, that is. I am a stay at home wifey and mom so although I also struggle in the morning getting out of bed to prepare my son for school, that’s just it. The rest of my day is already free and I can do whatever I want and whenever I want. No pressure at all.

Not with the husband, of course. His job is giving him too much pressure lately and though he’s thankful that he got a job, still, there were times that he felt like he needed a break. He’s only human after all.

And today, just like last week is another manic Monday for him. Poor hubby. But he’s tough! I pretty well know that!

Avoid the Money Pit

I’ve always been wise when it comes to my spending. I make it a point not to spend more than I can afford because the last thing that I want to be doing is seeking a debt advice service. Being in debt is definitely not in my vocab.

Modesty aside, I don’t owe anyone or anybody at the moment and I certainly don’t have plans of doing so. I am happy with the way things are going in my life now – so peaceful and worry-free.

The Timing was Simply Perfect

The husband will be out at work by 3:00 p.m. so I called him to remind him about the things that he need to buy at the supermarket. I also had additional things in mind so I dialed about a couple of minutes ago and guess what? He was at the supermarket! Perfect timing!

Yes, it’s not time for him to leave work yet, but his bossman asked him to purchase some goodies at a hardware just beside the supermarket so, he decided to buy the things that we need too. There were only three items so that won’t really take most of his time.

I wonder if that has something to do with telekinesis. LOL.

“Because I Can”

That is one of the husband’s favorite phrases. I consider it his favorite because I often hear him utter the phrase. Like when I asked him why he did that or this? That would be his reply to me. But it is not on the negative side. He says the phrase whenever he feels like teasing me. The phrase comes with a mischievous grin, you know. A grin that would make me amused instead of irritated.

I haven’t heard him utter the phrase for a couple of days now though and I kind of missed it. LOL. Maybe I will tease him when he gets home from work and let him say the words. What do you think? Teehee.

All Sweaty

It’s been such a hot and humid day today. The kids were out enjoying the pool, but I am just inside the house enjoying the coolness of the A/C. Had it been that the pool is big enough to carry adults, I would have dipped too. Whew!

The husband arrived all sweaty. He didn’t turn the car’s A/C on his way home so you can just imagine how sweaty every part of his body was. I even teased him that I will not give him a kiss because he’s wet. Teehee. But I did. I don’t really mind because even if he is sweaty, he doesn’t smell at all. So, no problem.

The room is so cool now and it makes me feel so good. Wheee!!!

Bad Day For Hubby

Our Sunday was spent relaxing, but the odd thing was, the husband felt so bad the following day as if he had done a major physical work the previous day. It was really odd and we didn’t know why. We did make a lot of walking on Saturday, shopping for things that we needed for our upcoming trip. But other than that, nada.

He complained of a very painful lower back when he got home on Monday. I was afraid it has something to do with slipped disk, but after researching about it online, I am certain it’s not it. The husband is positive that it is merely muscle pain. But how come? Well, maybe it has something to do with old age, huh? LOL. I teased him most of the time that maybe he just over-used that part during his younger years. Teehee.

He’s feeling a lot better today though.

My husband is such a jolly person and that is one reason why I love teasing him a lot. I like looking at his facial expression when he’s surprised and when he smiles. He pretty well knows when I am just teasing that is why he always gives me that smile or grin whenever I say something either jokingly or even if I sounded serious.

There were times that I teased him about shopping and the reply that I always got is… WHOOPEE!!! And the reply came with that mischievous grin on his face that I really find awesome. He’s really funny! (“,)

Busy Busy Week

My fiance’ touched base with me a few minutes ago informing me that he’s going to have an overtime again. That is not something new to me because they’ve been having an overtime since the start of the week and will actually work until tomorrow, Saturday which is supposed to be their day-off. They are into a lot of pressure as of late because their bossman from Ireland is coming to visit the workplace soon. So they need to get things done.

I’ve been looking forward to this weekend because I thought we could go out again. I haven’t been out since last weekend and I am kind of bored here at home but I can’t do anything about it. We still have Sunday though and maybe we will spend the whole day outside. I am just hoping that the weather will cooperate.

Maybe We Should Be On American Idol

Mine and my son’s day today was spent listening to music and singing along with it while he was seated in front of the PC and me on the rustic furniture near the window of the bedroom. It’s the thing that keeps us sane and not bored at all. Staying all day long at home can be boring, most especially if you’ve done all the chores.

We’re enjoying it a lot – singing to the top of our lungs and all. We are just hoping that our neighbors are enjoying it as well. LOL.

Another Busy Weekend Ahead

Yep, that’s how eager my fiance’ is to finish the task he’s got to do and accomplish this weekend, and that’s to continue the renovation with the help of his stepson. He’s so excited that he doesn’t mind if he’s exhausted the whole week because of work. He’s determined to finish the renovation before I set foot in his humble abode and that’s what’s keeping him into his goal.
