Maybe We Should Be On American Idol

Mine and my son’s day today was spent listening to music and singing along with it while he was seated in front of the PC and me on the rustic furniture near the window of the bedroom. It’s the thing that keeps us sane and not bored at all. Staying all day long at home can be boring, most especially if you’ve done all the chores.

We’re enjoying it a lot – singing to the top of our lungs and all. We are just hoping that our neighbors are enjoying it as well. LOL.

The Water Here is Delicious; Pure Mountain Water

When we got here on Tuesday, the first thing that my fiancé checked was his water line. He’d been gone for ten days to fetch me and my son and he thought there was a leak in one of the sinks in the bathroom. Gladly, his stepson fixed it without him knowing and that made him happy.

Then he checked on the distributor water filter to make sure it was clean because he wasn’t sure if he’d changed it because of his busy schedule which included preparing for his trip to come get us.

Everything is now done and good to go and we couldn’t be happier.

My Future is So Bright!

It’s there, shining so brightly and illuminating my soon-to-be home’s front and back yard. Yep, I am referring to the outdoor lighting that my fiancé has installed. I haven’t seen its beauty yet but I am pretty certain the light it gives is truly lovely based on the outdoor lighting that we have here at home.

He did show me the fixtures and I just love the designs that he chose. I can never go wrong with my fiancés taste; he did choose me, didn’t he? (“,) I can’t wait to see the lights and be brightened by its beauty! Yeehaw!

A New Life With a Touch of the Olden

My fiancé has been hard at work over the past weeks renovating his house, getting it ready for my arrival. He wants it to be perfect and has spared no expense. But not everything is going to be totally new. His mom recently died, leaving the home he grew up in to him, and since he’s so nostalgic, he’s been taking bits and pieces of the old home and incorporating them into what he likes to call “our new little kingdom.” The house is so old he’s actually had to have some hardware restoration performed on some of the items he used. I can’t wait to see the results of his creativity and share not only the rest of his life with him, but see those bits and pieces of the time he came from.

You Light Up My Life; I Just Wish You Had A Good Light!

With proper lighting in his living room, I’d able to view my fiancé on his webcam very clearly. It’s already his evening when I get up in my morning and the dim light that he has is not enough for me to see him clearly. The dim light prevents the cam from displaying a sharp picture which disappointments me. The only time that I can view him good is during weekends, when he’s up at 8 o’clock in the morning where he only has to open the curtains on the windows and the bright light shines in.

I know I need to do something about that and pretty soon, I will – when I’m there and become the queen of his household. He’s been busy, as he always is, and that’s why he hasn’t been able to do something about it. Oh well, I think I just have to patient for now. Just a little more patience because it won’t be long until I will see him face to face. No need of webcam then.

I’m Soon to Be in A New World

My fiancé will soon be shopping for a new refrigerator because even though his refrigerator is still good and running, it’s 27 years old and he wants a brand-new one. He says he’ll be having a brand-new life with me and my son so he wants everything for us to be brand-new and he wants the best, including an appliance with good refrigerator filters. Isn’t he sweet?

For a while he thought of waiting for me before doing the shopping but changed his mind. He wants the house all set up and good to go upon mine and my son’s arrival at his little domain, and we all can’t wait for that day to come.

Hint Hint, Honey Honey…(“,)

Curtains have been what my fiancé uses to cover the windows inside his house. I told him about an idea that I got on one of Lifestyle Network’s home make-over which was using wood blinds instead of curtains. It really adds to the beauty of a house. I know it would be an additional expense but I also got an idea on how to minimize the cost. And wood blinds aren’t that expensive anyway. He liked my idea and will probably look into it but I haven’t asked him about it again. I’ll ask him again later and give him a little nudge.

He Has Excellent Taste

I was so happy to hear from my fiancé that he has already seen three rugs that we’ll get for our living room, dining room and bedroom. He still has to take a photo of them to show to me because he wants me to see them first before he purchases them. He wants my opinion since, as per him, it will be for our home sweet home.

I don’t really mind if he buys them even before showing them to me for I definitely trust his decisions. He can be picky like me too and he won’t settle for anything less than the best, so, that being said, he definitely is good when it comes to choosing things and that refers to anything, especially his choice of a fiancée. Get It Done Kind of Guy

Renovation has started at the home of my fiancé. Yep, he’s renovating and hopefully he’ll be done by the time of my arrival. It’s his goal – to have the place ready for us because he says it definitely needs fixing up. He hasn’t thought of it before since he’s been alone there for quite some time.

He started on the bedrooms last week. His goal this week is to clean the walls so he can repaint them. Then everything else follows: he’ll start at the main house first and his last stop will be the garage. The garage flooring needs repair and the walls and ceiling need repainting too. He still has a lot to do and he’s hoping that all will be good-to-go by the time of our arrival.

Toasty Warm

Those were exactly BA’s words when he finally had his furnace running yesterday morning. He forgot to refill his oil tank and only found out that it was empty when he got home from work. And it snowed the previous night so try to imagine how cold it was inside his little domain. I actually sensed from his voice while we were talking that he was shivering. I wonder how cold it was. He was already wearing three layers of thermal shirts and pants but he was still cold. Had it been that I was there, I could have froze. LOL.

Well, be alert next time, BA. Hee hee.
